Founding rate, first 20 inspections
£99 instead of £149 for a visual inspection, in exchange for an honest review afterwards. Write what you actually think. A bad review we deserve is more use to us than no reviews at all.
Drone roof inspections
Photographs of every slope, valley and chimney, flown from the ground. A written report you can hand straight to a roofer or an insurer, within 48 hours.
Select a marker to read the finding. This is a sample, not a real property.
Why us
Most drone roof surveys in Hampshire are run by roofing firms. The survey is cheap, sometimes free, because the repair quote follows it. That is a reasonable way to run a roofing business. It is a poor way to get an impartial answer about your roof.
We inspect. We do not hold a ladder, a scaffold or a tile. If you want us to organise the repairs afterwards we will, for a fixed fee that is printed on this page, and we take nothing from the contractor. Our fee is the same whether your roof needs one tile or a full recover, so there is no version of this where we earn more by calling something urgent.
What that means in practice
No repair quote arrives with your report, and nobody rings to sell you one. Repair help is there if you ask for it and invisible if you do not.
Findings are graded on what the photographs show, using the same wording on every job, so this year's report can be read against last year's.
You own the imagery. The download link stays live and you can send it to as many roofers, surveyors or insurers as you want.
Straight answer
Plenty of firms in this trade lean on a history they cannot evidence. We are new, we are building this carefully, and the first 20 reports matter more to us than they will to anyone with a full order book.
01
£99 instead of £149 for a visual inspection, in exchange for an honest review afterwards. Write what you actually think. A bad review we deserve is more use to us than no reviews at all.
02
The pilot who flies your roof writes your report and answers the phone when you ring about it. No call centre, no handover, no report written by someone who never saw the building.
03
We fly outside office hours as standard, so you do not have to take a day off work to be there. Most of the trade cannot say that.
04
If the weather turns, the airspace is closed or the imagery is not good enough to draw a conclusion from, there is no charge and no argument about it.
The money
Access is usually the expensive part of a roof inspection, not the inspection. Scaffolding also comes with a minimum hire period, and a council licence if it stands on a pavement.
A drone inspection costs roughly a fifth of a scaffold inspection on a typical house.

Ranges are UK market figures for 2026 published by Checkatrade, Fix My Roof and Blackacre Surveyors, and cross-checked against advertised prices from drone survey firms operating in Hampshire and Surrey. Bars show the upper end of each range against a zero-based axis. Your quote depends on roof size, pitch and access.
The deliverable
Anyone can fly a drone over a house. The part that decides whether the money was worth spending is what lands in your inbox afterwards.
01
Between 40 and 80 high-resolution stills covering every slope, valley, hip, chimney and gutter run, plus 4K video of each elevation.
02
Each defect gets a reference, a marked photograph, a plain-English description and a location on the roof so a roofer knows exactly where to go.
03
Urgent, repair soon or monitor. Graded on visible evidence, with the reasoning written out, so you can decide what to spend money on first.
04
What each finding means, whether it needs a closer look from a roofer or a surveyor, and what tends to happen if it is left for another winter.
05
Original files at full resolution, yours to keep and to forward. Useful when three roofers are quoting from the same evidence.
06
Date, time, weather, altitude, operator details and airspace clearance. Insurers and managing agents tend to ask for this. It is included as standard.
What we inspect
Most enquiries start with one problem and turn up two others. Tell us what is worrying you and we will say which of these the job actually needs.
ROOF
Tiles, slates, ridges, hips, valleys, flashing and felt. The standard job, and the one that answers most leaks.
GUTTERS
Blockages, standing water, failed joints, sagging runs and outlets. Photographed from above, which is the only way to see inside them without a ladder.
CHIMNEY
Pointing, flaunching, flashing, pots and leaning. A common source of damp in an upstairs room and hard to assess from the ground.
STORM
Flown quickly after the event, with the date, time and weather recorded, because insurers ask when the damage happened.
DAMP
Where a leak has been chased and not found. A targeted look at the likely entry points rather than a general survey. Available from 2027.
THERMAL
Heat loss, trapped moisture in flat roofs and failed insulation, which a normal camera cannot see. Available from 2027.
CONDITION
A full written record of the building envelope for a managing agent, a trustee board or a maintenance budget.
RE-CHECK
A second flight once a roofer has finished, compared against the original photographs, so you can see what you paid for.
Who books us
A leak inside a house rarely starts above the stain. Water tracks along battens and rafters before it shows. Photographs of the whole roof, taken close enough to read individual tiles, turn a guess into a shortlist.
It is also the cheapest way to check a roof before you buy a house, or after a storm, when you want to know whether to worry.
Pricing a job from the ground means padding the quote for what you cannot see, or eating the difference when you get up there. A flight the day before a site visit removes most of that guesswork.
We work as a subcontractor on trade rates, and the report goes out under your name if you want it to. We will not contact your client.
Insurers ask when the damage happened and whether it was sudden or the result of gradual wear. A flight within days of a storm, with a flight log attached, answers the first question. Close imagery of the failure point helps with the second.
Our findings describe what is visible and what it suggests. We do not write a conclusion about liability, because that is the loss adjuster's job and a report that oversteps gets discounted.
Reactive roof spend is expensive because problems are found by tenants, in the rain, at the worst time of year. An annual flight across a portfolio gives you a dated condition baseline and a maintenance list you can budget against.
Reports come per property, with a summary that ranks the sites by what needs attention first.
How it works
STEP 01
Send the address, the property type and what is worrying you. We check the airspace, confirm a fixed price and offer a slot. Enquiries are answered every evening, and within a couple of hours at weekends.
STEP 02
Around 45 to 60 minutes on site for a typical house, most often on a weekday evening or at a weekend. No ladders, no scaffold, no access to your loft. We knock first and we tell neighbours what we are doing.
STEP 03
Within 48 hours, by email and as a download link. Read it, ring us with questions at no charge, then send it to whoever needs it.
Pricing
Fixed quotes, confirmed before we book you in. Travel within Hampshire and Surrey is included. No charge if the weather or the airspace stops us producing a usable report.

After the report
A report that leaves you stuck is only half a job. Here is every route out of it, including the ones where you never speak to us again.
ROUTE 01
Roughly a third of the roofs we look at are sound. You get that in writing, dated, with the photographs to prove it. Useful when you sell, and it costs you nothing further.
ROUTE 02
Send the report to whoever you like. Numbered findings and marked photographs mean three roofers can quote against identical evidence, which is the only way to compare quotes properly. We make nothing from this and we do not need to.
ROUTE 03
If you would rather not manage it, we write the scope, get prices from contractors we have checked, hold them to agreed rates and re-inspect afterwards. £250 fixed, printed here, the same whether the job is one tile or a full recover. We take nothing from the contractor.
A roof inspected once is a photograph. A roof inspected every year is a record.
Annual inspection plan
One flight a year, compared against the last, with the same wording on every finding so you can see what is getting worse and what has stayed still. It turns a roof from something you react to into something you can budget for. Landlords, managing agents and trustee boards tend to want this. Homeowners with an older roof often do too.
£95 a year for a house after your first inspection, or priced per property across a portfolio. Cancel whenever you like.
Ask about an annual planAirspace
Between civil airports, military airfields and the Solent, a large share of the county needs clearance before anyone can legally fly. Firms that skip that step are flying illegally and their imagery is worth very little in a claim.
We check the airspace against your postcode before we confirm the booking, and apply for clearance where it is needed. There is no charge for it, and we tell you honestly if a site cannot be flown.
Questions
£149 for a visual inspection, currently £99 for the first 20 bookings, and £395 for a full reported inspection, both including VAT. Advanced investigations start at £595 and commercial sites at £1,000 plus VAT, quoted per building. The price is fixed before we book you in and travel within Hampshire and Surrey is included.
Usually not. We need safe access to somewhere we can take off and land, normally a garden, a driveway or a nearby open space. If your property is terraced or hemmed in, we will say so when you book and arrange a time that suits you.
We do not fly in rain or in winds above roughly 25mph, because the imagery is not good enough to be worth having. If the weather turns, we ring you the day before and move the slot at no cost. You are not charged until the flight has happened.
We do not fly commercially without CAA registration and public liability cover in place, and we will send you the certificates before you book if you ask. Ring us and we will talk you through exactly what we hold.
We fly the roof, not the gardens, and the camera stays pointed at the building. We knock on adjoining properties before a flight where it makes sense. Any incidental footage of a neighbouring property is removed before the report goes out.
Insurers and loss adjusters generally accept dated, timed photographic evidence with a flight record attached, and that is what we supply. We describe what is visible rather than ruling on liability, which is the adjuster's decision. If your insurer has a specific format they want, tell us and we will follow it.
No. A drone sees the outside of the roof in detail and nothing else. It cannot check timbers, lift a slate or test for damp. It is a good first step that tells a surveyor or roofer exactly where to look, and it often removes the need for scaffold access altogether.
No. We inspect, we do not repair, and no repair quote arrives with your report. If you would rather not manage the work yourself we will organise it for a fixed £250, using contractors we have checked, and we take no commission from them. The fee is the same whatever the works cost, so nothing we find changes what we earn. If you would rather use your own roofer, use your own roofer.
If the roof is over 25 years old, if you let the property, or if you are responsible for a block, then probably yes. Damage is much cheaper to fix in the year it appears. Our annual plan is £95 a year for a house after the first inspection, and each report is compared against the last one using the same wording, so you can see what has changed rather than reading it fresh every time.
Fair question. We started in 2026, so we cannot point at 200 reviews. What we can point at is the sample report on this page, a fixed price agreed before we book you in, a founding rate on the first 20 inspections and no charge at all if we cannot produce something usable. Ring and speak to the person who will fly your roof before you commit to anything.
Usually within a week, and often sooner. We fly evenings and weekends as standard, which is when most people would rather have us there anyway. Weather and airspace clearance are the two things that move a date, and we tell you as soon as either becomes a problem.
All of Hampshire and Surrey, including Winchester, Southampton, Portsmouth, Basingstoke, Andover, Eastleigh, Fareham, Farnborough, Guildford, Woking, Farnham and Godalming. Sites just outside those counties are usually possible, with travel quoted up front.
